Solution Engineer – Global Capability Centers (Financial Services)

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a senior Solution Engineer to work with global accounts and Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India. You will partner with sales, product, engineering and marketing to showcase Snowflake’s data platform, drive adoption, and help customers solve complex data challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical stakeholders at prospects and customers.
• Conduct hands‑on demos, proofs‑of‑concept, and design workshops throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain deep knowledge of competing and complementary technologies and position Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and marketing teams to improve offerings and create technical enablement programs.
• Run training sessions, webinars and workshops to help customers become proficient with Snowflake.
• Develop technical champions within accounts to accelerate adoption and represent Snowflake at industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of customer‑facing solution engineering or pre‑sales experience, preferably with large global accounts.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience.
• Experience with large‑scale database technologies (e.g., Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, Hadoop).
• Prior exposure to the BFSI (banking, financial services, insurance) sector is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on expertise with SQL and Python.
• Modern data stack knowledge: ETL/ELT, data warehouse, data lake, data science and data applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Metabase).
• Data modeling and data architecture design capabilities.
