Software Technologist I – Python, Linux, AWS

About the role

The Software Technologist I will join Philips' health‑technology team in Bangalore, contributing to high‑quality software development using Python, Linux and AWS. You will work closely with DevOps, senior engineers and new joiners to ensure reliable, performant solutions that support Philips' mission of accessible healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in full‑cycle software development (Python) including design, coding, testing and code reviews.
• Lead technical design discussions and act as a subject‑matter expert for assigned components.
• Develop and execute unit, integration and system test plans to validate functionality and performance.
• Support DevOps in software deployment, monitor performance metrics and help define quality benchmarks.
• Analyse logs, reproduce defects and implement fixes to improve reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, API specs and user guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent vocational education.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in software development, testing and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate in pair‑programming or team settings.
