Software Engineering Manager – IBOR

About the role

SimCorp is looking for an innovative Software Engineering Manager to lead the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) team, focusing on the Transactions area. You will build and scale engineering capacity in Hyderabad while delivering high‑impact financial technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, onboard and nurture software engineers in Hyderabad, expanding the engineering team.
• Lead 1‑2 software engineering teams, providing mentorship, 1:1s, feedback and goal setting.
• Own short‑term sprint deliverables and long‑term team improvements.
• Foster a healthy, collaborative working environment.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management peers to refine customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with other leaders on cross‑area initiatives and knowledge sharing.
• Define and track engineering metrics to drive performance improvements.
• Plan and deliver team outcomes aligned with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience recruiting engineers and building high‑performing teams.
• 10+ years overall experience, including 5+ years in software engineering and up to 5 years in people/technical leadership.
• Knowledge of AI applications to improve engineering efficiency.
• Background in financial software or investment management platforms within a global, distributed workforce.
• Strong personal accountability, initiative and ability to decide with incomplete information.
• Effective stakeholder management and cross‑border collaboration skills.
