Software Engineer with PHP, Symfony Framework & DB experience

About the role

NIQ is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Nielsen Brandbank team. You will work on new and existing products, translating backlog items into robust, secure solutions while collaborating with product owners, scrum masters, and fellow developers.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a software engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of PHP (v7/8) and Symfony (v2+).
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB, Elastic Search, Redis.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React preferred), unit testing, GIT, XML, JSON.
• Familiarity with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WPF, SQL Server, T‑SQL and Microsoft Azure services is a plus.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
• Good understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
