Software Engineer – Simcenter Amesim Development

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join the development team for Simcenter Amesim, Siemens' leading 1D simulation platform. You will work in a collaborative, globally distributed Agile Scrum environment, delivering new features and improving the core architecture of a tool that powers industrial digitalization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test new functionalities for both the core platform and the graphical user interface of Simcenter Amesim.
• Contribute to the evolution of software architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Write clean, robust, and maintainable C++ code following best‑practice guidelines.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve critical issues reported by internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate daily with colleagues across India and Europe, aligning knowledge and co‑creating innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on C++ and object‑oriented programming.
• Proven experience working in an Agile Scrum development framework.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross‑cultural, international teams.
• Familiarity with modern development tools, including AI‑assisted coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot (preferred).
