Software Engineer – Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Chalhoub Group, you will develop and customise both backend and frontend components of enterprise digital commerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware). You will work within a fast‑moving luxury retail environment, leveraging modern web technologies and AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer, build, and customise backend and frontend code for SFCC using SFRA, ISML, cartridges, jobs and services.
• Develop full‑stack functionality with JavaScript, Node.js and REST/GraphQL APIs across the e‑commerce platform.
• Contribute to code quality through unit and functional testing, code reviews and technical troubleshooting.
• Support deployment, production issue resolution and release reliability across CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilise Claude Code for AI‑assisted development to accelerate code generation and review.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on software development experience building enterprise e‑commerce solutions.
• Proficiency in SFCC (Demandware) using SFRA, including ISML, cartridges, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and Business Manager administration.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs and full‑stack web development.
• Deep understanding of SFCC concepts such as Catalog, Products, Campaigns, Promotions, Customer Groups and JSON APIs.
• Knowledge of Pipelines, JS Controllers, Demandware Script and ISML templates.
• Experience with unit and functional testing, code review, CI/CD and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Claude Code for AI‑assisted development and DevOps practices.
• SFCC Developer Certificate and hands‑on experience with Pod migrations.
