Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

About the role

Maropost is looking for a passionate Software Engineer specialized in Ruby on Rails to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver cloud‑native solutions that power e‑commerce, marketing automation, and AI‑driven operations for thousands of global brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage a REST API stack for Maropost web applications.
• Contribute to architecture design, prototype new components, and ensure scalability and performance.
• Drive technical innovation, improve development processes, tools, and technologies.
• Lead code and design reviews, enforce best practices, and provide technical mentorship.
• Integrate machine‑learning and natural‑language‑processing engines into the platform.
• Implement DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, Kubernetes) and manage databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Scale applications on AWS or GCP and ensure platform security (TLS, SSL).

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech degree.
• 3+ years of experience building and architecting backend applications, preferably in commerce cloud or marketing automation.
• Proven track record of deploying applications at scale in production environments.
• Experience with high‑performance, real‑time web systems and API development.
