Software Engineer

About the role

Blackhawk Network is looking for a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of its high‑volume, fault‑tolerant transaction processing platform. You will work with a modern tech stack that includes Java, NodeJS, Vue.js, SQL and PostgreSQL to deliver scalable, reliable solutions for branded payment products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy new features in an Agile environment.
• Own end‑to‑end development of components and services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to research and integrate new technologies.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning and quality assurance activities.
• Support incident resolution and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to information security analysis and remediation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of professional experience with object‑oriented and functional programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Java, NodeJS, Vue.js and SQL‑based databases.
• Proven ability to design and build high‑traffic, scalable backend services.
• Experience working with REST APIs, middleware and relational databases.
