Software Engineer in Test (SDET) – Automation & AI

About the role

Nykaa is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen its quality engineering team. You will design, build and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile web, Android and iOS applications, ensuring high performance and reliability for customer‑facing products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end functional and automation testing of front‑end and back‑end components.
• Develop and maintain robust test suites using Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack and related tools.
• Create and manage test plans, test cases and regression coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Execute API and micro‑service testing with Postman and Newman.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for test design, data generation and defect analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define test strategies for new features.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience as an SDET or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.
