Software Engineer III, Mobile Development

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer within JPMorgan Chase’s Wealth Management Business, you will join an agile team that builds and delivers secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for designing and implementing critical solutions that support the firm’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting, applying innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
• Create secure, high‑quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms across systems.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including AI‑assisted automation, to enhance overall value.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, driving improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and maintaining native Android applications in Kotlin, delivering features from design through production release.
• Experience implementing AI/ML‑powered mobile features with a focus on performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Ability to apply and evolve mobile architectures such as MVVM, MVP, or MVC for scalable and testable codebases.
• Strong competence with modern tooling and testing frameworks (e.g., Git, Retrofit, Dagger, RxJava, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and the ability to critically evaluate AI‑generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
