About the role

PAR Technology Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its development team in India. You will work on enterprise‑grade systems that power restaurant technology solutions for thousands of locations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications.
Build and tune high‑throughput background processing using Sidekiq and Kafka pipelines.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architecture and micro‑services strategies.
Ensure code is well documented, test‑covered, and follows best practices.
Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, especially in MySQL environments.

Required profile

3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
Hands‑on experience building enterprise‑grade systems.
Familiarity with Databricks, web services, and scaling large applications.
Understanding of authentication standards such as OAuth, JWT, and SSO.
