Software Engineer II – Payment Solutions

About the role

PAR Technology Corporation is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the ParPay (Payment) development team. You will contribute to building and enhancing payment‑related software that powers thousands of restaurants worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical requirements and deliver clean, high‑quality code following best practices.
• Write highly extendable components while keeping the customer perspective in mind.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality deliveries.
• Participate in peer design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases and optimized queries.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with unit testing or test‑driven development (TDD) is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Excellent debugging and pragmatic problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
