As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Trust & Security part of Consumer Community Banking, you will be part of an agile team delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components.

Key responsibilities

• Execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high‑quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
• Apply knowledge of the SDLC toolchain, including AI‑assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large data sets to identify problems and support decision‑making for secure, stable application development.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 2 years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
• Practical use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools with ability to critically evaluate and validate AI‑generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security expectations in engineering workflows.
• Exposure to the full Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Required skills

• Java programming language.
