Software Engineer II – Ignition (Industrial Automation)

About the role

Deloitte’s Enterprise Performance practice is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and deliver Ignition‑based industrial technology solutions for complex manufacturing environments. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate plant requirements into scalable, data‑driven applications that improve operational performance and visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Ignition solutions across manufacturing sites.
• Establish connectivity with OPC-UA, OPC-DA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT, and MQTT data sources.
• Integrate Ignition with ERP, MES, databases, historians, and cloud platforms for end‑to‑end data flow.
• Develop Vision and Perspective applications, Python scripts, REST APIs, and OEE analytics.
• Create technical documentation and support troubleshooting during implementation and post‑deployment.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering or technology degree (B.E., B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech or equivalent).
• Ability to work in shift timings of 11 AM‑8 PM or 2 PM‑11 PM IST as required.
