Software Engineer II, Cloud Integration

About the role

Mastercam, part of the Sandvik Group, is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain cloud‑enabled services and integration capabilities that extend the Mastercam platform from desktop to cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in C#, C++, object‑oriented development, Microsoft Windows, Visual Studio, and the Mastercam developer ecosystem.
• Build and evolve the integration layer between the C++ desktop application and cloud services, implementing reliable integration patterns.
• Partner with desktop and SDK teams to deliver seamless integrations without destabilizing core workflows.
• Write, size, and break down complex stories and defects; communicate status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Conduct peer reviews, promote unit‑test coverage and test‑driven development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4‑5 years of professional experience building web APIs and cloud services.
• Experience developing commercial CAD/CAM applications in C++.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for cloud services and APIs.
