As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will work in an agile environment to design, enhance, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high‑quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot components with awareness of upstream and downstream system implications.
• Apply knowledge of the SDLC toolchain, including AI‑assisted development and automation, to increase automation value.
• Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large data sets to support secure, stable application development.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Agentic AI, Java, AWS, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
• Proficiency with enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and ability to critically evaluate AI‑generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security expectations.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
