Software Engineer, Full Stack

About the role

Google is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the core technical foundation of its flagship products. You will work on large‑scale systems that power billions of users, collaborating across back‑end and front‑end domains while tackling challenging problems in distributed computing, security, and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code for both back‑end and front‑end components.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technology choices.
• Review code from other developers, ensuring adherence to style guidelines, testability, and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues, analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience, including full‑stack work.
• Experience with back‑end languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++.
• Front‑end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, strong data‑structures/algorithms knowledge, and experience with large‑scale distributed systems.
