Software Engineer – Fabric Platform Shell

About the role

Join Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team as a Software Engineer on the Fabric Platform Shell team. You will help build a unified, AI‑enabled web development environment that powers the next generation of data‑first applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑quality user experiences for the Fabric Platform in browser environments.
• Develop full‑stack and backend components to deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, program managers, and fellow engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and writing clean, maintainable code.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience building web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern front‑end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
