Software Engineer – Backend Services

About the role

As a Software Engineer at DHL IT Services you will design, develop and maintain backend services that power the Express application suite. You will operate in a security‑focused, global environment and leverage AI‑assisted tools for coding assistance, test generation and root‑cause analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain high‑performance, reliable, and scalable Java‑based microservices.
• Integrate AI tools into daily development for code generation, refactoring and documentation.
• Provide third‑level operational support, investigate complex incidents and collaborate with other IT support teams.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve firmware bugs, vulnerabilities and other technology issues.
• Ensure security awareness and compliance in all production deliveries.

Required profile

• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to adopt hybrid work arrangements.
