Software Engineer – Backend (Java, Spring, Kubernetes)

About the role

DigiCert is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join its Bangalore team. You will help design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web services that power our AI‑driven DigiCert ONE platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and architects to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java‑based backend services using Spring and RESTful APIs.
• Debug and resolve product defects, ensuring timely solutions for customer issues.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and secure coding practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Required skills

• Java programming language.
• Spring framework for building enterprise applications.
• Development and consumption of RESTful web services.
• Relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Build tools such as Gradle and database libraries like Jooq.
