Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

Servify is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design and build high‑performance services that power its global product lifecycle management platform. You will work on distributed, cloud‑native systems that handle millions of requests, ensuring low latency, high availability, and robust security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services from scratch, collaborating with leads and architects.
• Ensure code complies with Servify’s security, static‑code, and dynamic‑analysis standards.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and maintain code quality according to project guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and delivery processes to meet release timelines.
• Monitor production systems, perform operations, and handle post‑production maintenance to guarantee high availability.
• Explore and implement modern technologies such as distributed systems on cloud platforms.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in domains like Insurance, Supply‑Chain Management, or E‑Commerce is a plus.
• Strong understanding of functional programming, object‑oriented principles, and MVC architecture.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Node.js (2–3 years) and JavaScript.
• Functional programming concepts.
• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC design patterns.
• Asynchronous programming and its associated patterns.
• Server‑side CSS pre‑processors.
• HTML5 and CSS3 basics.
• Accessibility and security compliance awareness.
• Integration of multiple data sources.
• Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems.
• Unit testing, static code analysis, and dynamic analysis.
