Software Development Manager – EU INTech PGX

About the role

Amazon is seeking a talented Software Development Manager to join the EU INTech PGX organization in Bangalore. The role involves shaping the team’s roadmap, fostering an innovative culture, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders, and guiding technical decisions while hiring and developing talent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to design, build and operate full‑stack applications backed by Java and Amazon internal services.
• Define and communicate a clear vision, set priorities, and create urgency to deliver customer‑focused features.
• Review architecture and design choices, ensure reliability and scalability, and make trade‑off decisions.
• Partner with product and program managers to align on requirements and delivery timelines.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers, fostering career development and a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong technical foundation.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years designing or architecting systems with emphasis on reliability and scaling.
• Proven ability to collaborate with product, program management and senior leadership.
