Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) – Contract

About the role

Cross Border Tech is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join its contract team. You will work on Amazon's Cross Border technology stack, enabling local language, currency, and payment experiences for global shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement innovative solutions that reduce time‑to‑market and support global expansion.
• Build, operate, and evolve a platform that tackles large‑scale computing, distributed systems, and web‑application challenges.
• Stabilize day‑to‑day operations, improve build and testing pipelines, and ensure software and security compliance.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to solve ambiguous, high‑impact problems using data‑driven approaches.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and handle massive scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with distributed systems and large‑scale computing.
• Knowledge of web application development.
• Data mining, scalability, security, and algorithm design.
