Software Development Engineer – II

About the role

The Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) team builds a secure, high‑accuracy identity verification platform that protects Amazon customers and sellers worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer II you will help design, develop, and scale distributed services that support millions of users across multiple Amazon businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement large‑scale, highly available web services for identity verification and account lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and low friction for end users.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and incident response for production systems.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and help evolve design patterns for scalability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• Experience building complex software systems at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
