Software Development Engineer II

About the role

KGK Diamonds is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join its Platform Engineering & Integrations team in Surat. You will design, build and maintain event‑driven pipelines and AI‑enabled services that connect the company’s ERP, CRM, e‑commerce and data‑warehouse systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate Apache Kafka pipelines, including producers, consumers, topic design, partitioning and consumer groups.
• Implement real‑time inventory and business data synchronization, handling schema evolution, retries, idempotency and dead‑letter queues.
• Build MCP servers that expose internal systems to AI assistants, ensuring proper authentication, read‑only access where required and correct tool definitions.
• Create business modules on NividOne using React front‑end.NET Core APIs and Oracle 19c database.
• Maintain and extend CRM workflows, resolve data mismatches, troubleshoot API failures and improve performance of APIs and database queries.
• Add monitoring, observability and reliability features to critical pipelines.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in backend or full‑stack development.
• Strong understanding of event‑driven architecture and distributed system failure patterns.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional software solutions.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, partitioning, consumer groups).
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Node.js, Python.NET Core or Java.
• Experience with React, including server‑side rendering.
• SQL expertise, preferably Oracle or MSSQL.
• Familiarity with Redis, Docker and Linux environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex).
• Knowledge of REST API design and debugging.
