Software Development Engineer - II

About the role

Blitz is building a rapid‑delivery platform for e‑commerce brands in India. As a Software Development Engineer II you will contribute to AI‑driven, high‑scale services that enable 2‑hour and same‑day deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of projects from ideation through execution.
• Design and deliver user‑centric solutions that address core business challenges.
• Optimize existing architectures for performance, scalability and functionality.
• Write modular, scalable and clean code following industry best practices.
• Deploy and maintain project infrastructure ensuring zero downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong strategic communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills using first‑principles thinking.
• Hands‑on experience with database design, both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL.
• Experience writing unit and integration test cases.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, cloud services and DevOps practices.
