Software Developer – Automotive Ethernet & AVB Stack

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to design, implement and validate Ethernet and Audio‑Video Bridging (AVB) software stacks for automotive applications. You will work closely with customers to translate specifications into robust, high‑performance code.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and specification proposals.
• Design and implement object‑oriented software solutions in C++ (and optionally C).
• Configure and optimise IP and Layer‑2 Ethernet switch stacks to meet functional and timing constraints.
• Validate the AVB software stack against IEEE AVB guidelines (e.g., IEEE 802.1AS).
• Follow SAFe Agile and ASPICE development and quality processes.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in automotive embedded software.
• Experience with SAFe/Agile development methodologies.
• Logical, analytical mindset with solid debugging and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in C++ (C knowledge preferred).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack behaviour.
• Multi‑threading and synchronization techniques.
• Automotive Ethernet standards (IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab).
• AVB protocols, especially IEEE 802.1AS.
• Network analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark.
• Operating systems: QNX and Linux.
• Design/architecture tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect).
