Software Developer 2

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer 2 to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for Oracle databases, Java web applications and REST services. The role involves writing clear technical documentation and ensuring code quality, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software components for Oracle databases, Java web applications and REST services.
• Write clear technical specifications and documentation, covering edge‑cases, concurrency and security.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust implementations.
• Ensure fault‑tolerance, high‑availability and scalability through architectural design and performance testing.
• Own the code base, conduct code reviews, identify and mitigate performance, cost or security issues.
• Participate in regular architectural review meetings and work within an agile‑scrum development environment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to work in an agile‑scrum setting and deliver high‑quality code.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical designs.
• Experience preparing proof‑of‑concepts, performance testing plans and risk mitigation strategies.
