Software Asset Management Analyst – Gurgaon (Hybrid) – 3-6 yrs

About the role

We are seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to join our client’s team in Gurgaon on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on managing software licenses, analysing usage data, and supporting service‑desk activities to optimise the software portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end software asset lifecycle, including acquisition, compliance and disposal.
• Analyse software usage data in Microsoft Excel to drive cost‑saving decisions.
• Collaborate with system architects, administrators, project managers and finance teams to gather critical information.
• Handle service‑desk requests, work in shift patterns as required, and use ServiceNow for ticket management.
• Identify risk and cost‑reduction opportunities and present recommendations to software owners and SAM leadership.
• Utilise asset‑management tools such as SCCM, JAMF and ServiceNow (SNOW) for inventory and compliance tracking.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in Software Asset Management or software licensing.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow and asset‑management tools (SCCM, JAMF, SNOW).
• Strong data‑analysis skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of licensing guidelines for products like Adobe, Microsoft and IBM.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies.
• Immediate availability or very short notice period.
