Social Media Manager

About the role

Decathlon is seeking a Social Media Manager to act as the brand’s voice across social platforms. The role focuses on driving organic growth, engaging sport enthusiasts, and amplifying Decathlon’s purpose of making sport accessible to everyone.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Decathlon’s social media strategy to increase brand presence, reach and engagement.
• Create, curate and write content that reflects the brand ethos and stimulates community interaction.
• Collaborate with the sports and communications teams to design campaigns and tailor content for each platform.
• Identify and craft compelling stories from Decathlon’s ecosystem, while monitoring emerging platforms and trends.
• Produce social assets for brand campaigns, weekly focuses and daily conversations.
• Maintain page health, manage online reputation, and build community from scratch.
• Implement influencer marketing, sourcing macro, micro and nano influencers to boost reach.
• Manage the social communications calendar and track performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations.
• Oversee influencer and content agencies and ensure brand consistency across all social outputs.

Required profile

• Passionate sports enthusiast with awareness of major sports events.
• Minimum three years of experience managing key social media channels.
• Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business or related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Twitter, Facebook, Quora, Instagram and LinkedIn.
