Snowflake Data Platform Architect

About the role

Riveron is seeking a Snowflake Data Platform Architect to lead the design, modernization, and governance of its enterprise data foundation. The role combines hands‑on architecture with platform ownership, ensuring scalable, AI‑ready data infrastructure across Snowflake, Power BI, Salesforce, Alteryx and various APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap and architecture for Riveron’s enterprise data platform.
• Lead Snowflake data‑warehouse/lakehouse design, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, access controls, performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Design reusable semantic layers, governed datasets and AI‑ready data models for reporting and advanced analytics.
• Partner with reporting teams to modernize Power BI models and reduce manual reporting dependencies.
• Support Alteryx migration and replace spreadsheet‑heavy processes with scalable pipelines.
• Define integration patterns for Salesforce, SharePoint/Microsoft 365, finance systems, APIs and third‑party sources.
• Establish data quality, lineage, reconciliation, documentation and observability standards.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, BI developers, analysts and AI engineers.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, cloud data platforms or analytics engineering.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, ELT/ETL and enterprise data‑warehouse design.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, role‑based access, data quality and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms, APIs, finance systems, Salesforce and flat‑file sources.
