Site Manager, Solar

About the role

Enfinity Global is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the day‑to‑day execution of utility‑scale solar PV projects in India. You will be responsible for safety, quality and schedule adherence from mobilisation through commissioning, working on installations ranging from 1 MW to over 100 MW.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on‑site activities for ground‑mounted solar PV projects, including foundations, module erection, inverter installation and cabling.
• Lead site teams of 20‑200 personnel, coordinating EPC engineers, technicians and labourers, and managing subcontractor performance.
• Implement and enforce HSE protocols, conduct daily toolbox talks, risk assessments and ensure compliance with the Factories Act, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 and Indian renewable standards.
• Monitor progress against milestones using MS Project or site‑specific applications, report deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment mobilisation (cranes, piling rigs) and logistics while adhering to IS/BIS component certifications.
• Conduct quality inspections at key stages (pile testing, string testing, SCADA integration) and prepare documentation for CEA approvals and net‑metering handovers.
• Liaise with local authorities, landowners and DISCOMs to secure site access, permissions and resolve issues.
• Promote sustainability practices such as waste minimisation and water conservation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale solar PV construction sites in India.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• In‑depth knowledge of Indian renewable energy regulations (MNRE guidelines, CEA safety norms) and statutory compliance.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• MS Project or equivalent project‑control software.
• SCADA integration knowledge.
• OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 safety standards.
• Familiarity with IS/BIS component certification.
• Understanding of MNRE guidelines and CEA safety norms.
