Site Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support metal mining customers by improving equipment availability and performance. The role focuses on reliability‑centered maintenance and promotes Sandvik services, genuine spare parts, and maintenance contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operation and maintenance teams on underground and surface metal mining projects.
• Maintain and overhaul Load & Haul machines, underground production & development drills, LPDT, LHD and other mining equipment.
• Plan, schedule and execute preventive maintenance and performance tests for underground equipment.
• Lead a maintenance team, ensuring high productivity and safe working conditions.
• Provide technical support, warranty analysis, and feedback on product performance.
• Promote genuine Sandvik spare parts and assist customers with stock estimation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in underground metal or coal mining.
• Proven ability to manage equipment maintenance and drive performance improvements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer‑relation skills.
• Capability to work in challenging mining environments and resolve conflicts.
