Site Controller

About the role

The Site Controller will support BASF’s Indian sites in Thane and Vikhroli by providing accurate financial reporting, cost analysis and compliance with corporate policies. This role bridges finance, operations and senior management to drive economic decision‑making and value generation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial statements and business reports for site management and senior leadership.
• Monitor compliance with accounting principles, local regulations and BASF financial policies.
• Maintain and act as gatekeeper for BASF applications such as COINS, I‑Comp, MARIS, Ocean, CARAT and SCII.
• Support CAPEX and OpEx planning, including small investment budgeting and cost development analysis.
• Produce product costing reports, sales performance overviews and other key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost accounting and corporate finance.
• Ability to work across two locations and travel as needed.
• Experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail.
