ServiceNow Service Portal Developer

About the role

We are looking for a specialized ServiceNow Service Portal Developer to lead the UI/UX transformation of our platform. You will build modern, high‑performance Service Portals, Employee Centers and custom UI components for Bosch’s global software division.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reusable Service Portal widgets from scratch.
• Convert wireframes and Figma designs into responsive, pixel‑perfect portal pages using Bootstrap and CSS/SASS.
• Configure portal core elements such as search sources, themes, menus, headers, footers and CSS inclusions.
• Write client‑side AngularJS controllers and server‑side scripts (JavaScript/GlideRecord) for widget functionality.
• Implement advanced features like real‑time data updates, dynamic forms and asynchronous data loading via GlideAjax.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility of all portal pages and widgets.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, slow page loads and rendering issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience developing ServiceNow Service Portals.
• Relevant degree such as BE, ME, B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc or M.Sc.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of ServiceNow Portal framework and widget editor.
• Strong proficiency in AngularJS (1.x), native JavaScript and JSON.
• Advanced HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap 3/4 (including SASS) skills.
• Experience with ServiceNow REST APIs, GlideRecord and GlideAjax.
• Ability to create custom Angular services, directives and factories within ServiceNow.
