Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician ensures the reliable operation of HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS) through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning. The role combines hands‑on technical work with customer interaction to deliver energy‑efficient building performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, package units, and split/ducted systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and performance evaluations; replace faulty components.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support BMS controls, programming, and integration with HVAC equipment.
• Analyze alarms, trends, and system data; coordinate upgrades with control engineers.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and accurate service records.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Instrumentation or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and BMS operations.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Familiarity with BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls or equivalents.
