Service Development Manager – AI Data Structuring & Readiness

About the role

The Service Development Manager – AI Data Structuring & Readiness will lead the definition and evolution of structured data models and semantic frameworks within the Platform Operations team. This senior technical position sits in Data Operations and drives AI‑enabled processing workflows, Knowledge Graph initiatives and LLM operationalisation for research data products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern logical data modeling standards across Data Operations, ensuring scalability for high‑volume processing and enrichment.
• Design and maintain canonical data principles, normalization rules, transformation logic and metadata structures for structured content ecosystems.
• Lead the strategy and implementation of Knowledge Graph and semantic data models, applying Linked Data and RDF principles.
• Translate business and product requirements into technical specifications, schema designs (XSD, JSON Schema), mapping rules and validation frameworks.
• Establish traceability between requirements, specifications and operational implementations, and document best practices for data modeling and workflow design.

Required profile

• Senior technical leader with extensive experience in data modeling and data governance.
• Proven ability to design scalable data structures and semantic frameworks for large‑scale AI applications.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across product, engineering and supplier teams.
