Senior VS Code Extension Developer (TypeScript, DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior VS Code Extension Developer to design, build, and maintain advanced Visual Studio Code extensions and productivity tools. The role focuses on TypeScript, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, containerization, and cloud‑native development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality VS Code extensions using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Integrate extensions with REST APIs, backend services, AI assistants, and developer tooling.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab) for automated testing and deployment.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to automate build, release, and monitoring processes.
• Implement unit and integration tests using Jest or Mocha and ensure code quality.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and mentoring junior developers.
