Senior Trust Automation Engineer

About the role

DigiCert is seeking a Senior Trust Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of automation across its Trust Office and Security Engineering functions. The role focuses on strategic automation to reduce manual effort, improve security decisions, and enable scalable, reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead security automation platforms and workflows that reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• Own the full lifecycle of automation solutions from discovery through production and long‑term maintenance.
• Develop Python‑based automation frameworks that integrate security tools, APIs, and data sources at scale.
• Build advanced automation for vulnerability management, alert triage, remediation orchestration, reporting, and audit evidence generation.
• Design and implement AI/LLM‑assisted security automation with proper governance and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, automation, platform engineering or DevOps.
• Proven track record of leading automation projects from inception to production.
• Deep proficiency in Python, API design, and large‑scale system integrations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with automation platforms (SOAR) and production security automation.
