Senior Transport Planner – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to lead the planning and design of large‑scale highway and transportation projects in India. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers and client partners to deliver integrated, sustainable mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse master plans, ensuring interdisciplinary coordination for cohesive project outcomes.
• Perform traffic forecasting and analysis using advanced methodologies to predict and manage traffic patterns.
• Conduct thorough reviews of toll systems and revenue models, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
• Research and analyse transportation challenges, develop plans, policies and evaluate project impacts.
• Lead the design of transportation infrastructure components and support multidisciplinary task execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport planning for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in traffic analysis, toll system evaluation and data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, design and stakeholder teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
