Senior System Administrator (Linux & Virtualization)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for managing Linux‑based infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and enterprise IT systems while providing advanced technical support for production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and other Enterprise Linux servers and workstations.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as oVirt, Proxmox, VMware, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper‑V.
• Perform system installation, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Monitor system health, resolve infrastructure issues proactively, and ensure high availability.
• Act as the final escalation point for complex incidents, supporting L1/L2 engineers and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Support Digital Content Creation (DCC) applications used in VFX production, troubleshooting workstation performance for artists.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline routine tasks.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, configure VLANs, Layer‑2 switching, routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VPN services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system diagrams.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux server and desktop administration.
• Proven ability to manage virtualization environments and resolve complex infrastructure incidents.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting ticketing systems.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
