Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to join a globally distributed technology team. The remote position, based in India, focuses on managing and evolving complex enterprise infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of critical Microsoft and virtualization environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, PKI, and Group Policy.
• Manage access platforms, collaboration tools, monitoring, backup, and cloud services.
• Support VDI and terminal server environments, handling performance, patching, documentation, and reliability.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels and participate in operational support activities.
• Lead infrastructure modernization projects such as domain migrations, VDI platform transitions, server upgrades, and legacy system decommissioning.
• Design implementation plans, create test environments, and execute pilots for infrastructure changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation, inventories, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure continuous availability of critical systems.
• Collaborate with NOC, InfoSec, DevOps, and support teams to improve infrastructure reliability and security.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft and VDI infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory domain or forest migrations, minimizing service disruption.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of enterprise systems administration, stability, and security.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.
