Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with 5‑8 years of experience to own the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of both cloud and on‑premise infrastructure. The role involves hands‑on Linux and Windows administration, AWS operations, proactive monitoring, and leading complex incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day administration, monitoring, and support of hybrid infrastructure.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and tune Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Implement proactive monitoring, analyze trends, and prevent incidents.
• Handle L2/L3 incidents within SLAs and lead major incident calls.
• Provide advanced support for OS, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Perform network troubleshooting (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, load balancers).
• Support AWS services, including provisioning, cost awareness, and issue resolution.
• Use ITSM tools following ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and availability reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive automation and process optimisation.
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and configuration records.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of system administration experience in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud operations.
• Proven track record in infrastructure monitoring, alert tuning, and capacity management.
• Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management.
