Senior Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Qualifacts is a leading provider of behavioral health software and SaaS solutions. The Senior Staff Software Engineer will lead design and development of .NET‑based healthcare applications, make key architectural decisions for cloud‑native microservices, and guide AI integration to improve workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and architectural decisions for scalable, secure .NET applications and microservices.
• Guide pragmatic AI adoption in existing workflows and use AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to shape requirements, refine specifications, and assess feasibility.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, identify risks, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.
• Drive debugging, performance optimization, and ensure smooth releases with QA, operations, and other engineers.

Required profile

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in technical leadership or architect roles.
• Strong architectural understanding with focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and deliver projects successfully.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with healthcare compliance standards.

Required skills

• .NET Core, C#
• Front‑end technologies: CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or React
• Microsoft SQL Server (query optimization, performance tuning)
• Cloud platforms: AWS or Azure, including serverless services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge)
• API design and integration (RESTful, SOAP)
• AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and exposure to AI agents or workflow‑driven AI patterns
• HL7 FHIR and healthcare data integration (preferred)
