Senior Specialist – Production

About the role

Autoliv India is seeking a results‑driven Senior Specialist in Production to lead manufacturing operations at its Bangalore facility. The role focuses on delivering safety‑critical automotive components while driving continuous improvement through the Autoliv Production System (APS).

Key responsibilities

• Ensure production teams are properly resourced and operate according to APS standards.
• Monitor production performance, analyse quality reports and implement corrective actions.
• Manage capacity planning to meet customer demand and business targets.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity (SQDCP) metrics across the plant.
• Lead lean initiatives such as JIT, Jidoka, Kaizen, Andon and visual management.
• Conduct line balancing, manpower optimization and value‑stream mapping.
• Facilitate daily production meetings, employee engagement and performance management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and coordinate cross‑functional teams for operational objectives.

Required profile

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical, Automobile or a related discipline.
• 6–15 years of experience in production management within the automotive industry.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing, process optimisation and team leadership.
• Ability to analyse data, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
