Senior Specialist, Accountant

About the role

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Accounting to join our Corporate Controllers – COE Product Accounting - Global Markets FX and Corporate Treasury team in Pune. The role will oversee daily P&L production, manage the control environment, and support audits and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and contribute to daily P&L production for FX, IRD, FI&EQ and Capital Markets, including validation, analytical review, commentary and sign‑off.
• Manage the control environment for product balance‑sheet substantiation, journal entries, trade and GL reconciliations, price testing and breaks investigation.
• Govern daily controls and month‑end close process, including SOX controls, independent price valuations, FX exposure management, loan accounting and VaR back‑testing.
• Work closely with front‑office, technology, operations and finance teams to resolve issues, develop enhancements and ensure timely issue management.
• Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and analysis.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive efficiency in reporting and control processes.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3‑5 years post‑qualification product control experience.
• Deep understanding of financial products such as FX, IRD, fixed income and equity derivatives.
• Experience in a fast‑moving, highly controlled multinational/functional organization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly self‑driven, detail‑oriented and capable of independent critical work review.

• AI tools and familiarity with latest automation technologies.
