Senior Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Senior Solutions Engineer will report to the Solutions Engineering Team Lead and the Director of Application Development. This role focuses on building large‑scale, high‑availability systems for enterprise life‑sciences clients and handling service desk escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle service desk and operations escalations, acting as the primary contact for internal and external parties.
• Assist with data migration using predefined utilities and processes.
• Develop database scripts for reporting and billing, and execute production server maintenance and version deployments.
• Design and build large‑scale, high‑availability systems for enterprise life‑sciences clients.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year college or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of solutions engineering experience.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Web application development and Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Understanding of web services, HTTP, REST, JSON, IIS 6, and multi‑tiered systems.
• Proficiency in T‑SQL, MS SQL Server, XML, and C#.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Professional, Reader, Distiller.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (XP and higher).
