Senior Solutions Architect - Pre Sales

About the role

DDN is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Pre‑Sales team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing AI and HPC infrastructure solutions, delivering proofs of concept, and supporting customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and propose solutions that meet customer specifications, aligning with DDN products.
• Provide proof‑of‑concept (POC) and benchmarking support for AI and HPC workloads.
• Prepare and respond to RFPs, technical drawings, and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering, professional services, and sales teams to improve win ratios.
• Create Bills of Materials for proposed solutions and manage post‑sale customer relationships.

Required profile

• BSc or higher degree (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of relevant pre‑sales experience with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to simplify complex architectures and build rapport with customers.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AI ecosystem GPUs (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and related software libraries.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies: SAN, NAS, DAS, parallel file systems, object storage, and software‑defined storage.
• Familiarity with storage protocols: Block I/O, NFS, SMB, S3.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and InfiniBand networking, including topology and performance metrics.
• Hands‑on experience with Lustre, GPFS, Weka, or BeeGFS is a plus.
• Experience architecting solutions in public or private cloud and multitenant environments.
