Senior Software Technologist I - Testing

About the role

Philips is looking for a Senior Software Technologist I – Testing to lead system verification for its Hospital Patient Monitoring portfolio. The role provides technical leadership across multiple projects, shaping verification strategy, risk management and test automation to deliver high‑quality, compliant medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute verification plans, including functional, performance, reliability and scalability testing.
• Lead a verification team through planning, execution and documentation across releases.
• Develop and maintain Java‑based Selenium automation frameworks and BDD test suites.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, security and regulatory stakeholders to ensure release readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 10‑13 years of experience in software/system verification, test strategy and automation.
• Strong systems thinking, technical influence and ability to manage risk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Java programming and Selenium automation.
• Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
• Web service testing (REST/SOAP).
• CI/CD pipelines, source‑control tools.
• Cloud platforms (AWS), JMeter, PostgreSQL, AngularJS.
• Experience with JIRA or ALM for defect and test management.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity verification, system hardening and secure deployment.
