Senior Software Engineer – OneLake (Azure Data)

About the role

Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is building the data platform for the age of AI. As a Senior Software Engineer on the OneLake team, you will help create the unified, SaaS‑based data lake that powers the Microsoft Fabric platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services with high availability, low latency, and reliability across multi‑cloud environments.
• Own the full lifecycle of components, from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post‑production quality assurance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer teams to deliver features that simplify data access and governance for global customers.
• Embed security, compliance, and observability into every stage of development to ensure operational excellence.
